CitySprint Delivers bezier's Urgent Point-of-Purchase Materials PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 12 December 2007

CitySprint has been working with bezier - Europe’s leading in-store marketing agency - to deliver, often urgent, point-of-purchase (POP) materials to high-profile customers, among them ASDA.

bezier first called upon CitySprint’s Specialist Services at the end of October to deliver urgent POP materials to all 340 of ASDA’s stores. Since then CitySprint has been employed to undertake deliveries and larger jobs spanning the UK.

bezier has ten UK sites across Bristol, Poole, Wakefield, Leeds and Leicester and has earned a reputation for delivering high-quality products which grab shoppers’ attention in an increasingly competitive environment. It annually produces and delivers over 265 million items, from leaflets to full frontage shop displays, and is sole supplier to a broad portfolio of blue chip brand manufacturers and retailers including ASDA, Boots, Imperial Tobacco, Homebase and KFC.

Ian Carnazza, managing director of bezier north, says: “Just as our customers expect us to meet their high standards, we expect our courier service to be reliable, transparent and professional. CitySprint ticks all the right boxes and provides great assurances via its technology, which allows us and our customers to track deliveries in real time on its website.”

The strong relationship forged between CitySprint and the retail marketing agency is based on reliability and trust. Karl Walker, CitySprint’s Area Sales Executive for Leeds, says: “We like to think of ourselves as integral to our clients’ operations. bezier has a “can-do” attitude and so do we. There can be no weak links in any chain; we fully understand the pressure they are under and ensure we respond appropriately.”

Owing to the nature of retail marketing bezier expects its courier service to provide an urgent response and adapt quickly to the demands of the environment it operates in. CitySprint is able to call upon the support of its national network of 30+ ServiceCentres. Karl says: “Having a large national network means bezier benefits from our entire team working as one to achieve the speed and effectiveness of the delivery solution. By keeping the work within the CitySprint network we can control the distribution via our technology, which the customer can interface with live.”

bezier can benefit from CitySprint’s OnLine facilities, as well as the ability to track their jobs in a live environment via www.citysprint.co.uk. With CitySprint’s CourierLocator, bezier benefits from complete transparency with real-time map location of the courier doing its SameDay Courier job. This information is available to view before collection, during the journey and up until the point of delivery. bezier can also share this information with their customers by emailing them a hyperlink to CourierLocator. bezier may also receive email and/or SMS notifications as to the progress of their jobs and access time stamped job audits as well as electronic proof of delivery. This technology is also a useful tool for keeping track of courier expenditure; with CitySprint’s Account Activity reports, bezier has access to its courier costs.
