Tuesday, 10 July 2007

Renata Jones and Tony Mellor
Only days from winning the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and just a month or so after taking home the Leicestershire Business of the Year award, leading pallet network Pall-Ex have been rewarded with two further achievements at the National Business Awards.

At a regional ceremony for the Awards, premier pallet network Pall-Ex achieved not one, but two accolades. Pall-Ex was highly commended in The Badenoch & Clark Business of the Year Award, and Hilary Devey, the entrepreneurial  drive behind the business, won The Credit Suisse Entrepreneur of the Year Award. In deciding the winners of these awards, judges were looking for businesses and individuals which could demonstrate innovation, growth, and strong financial performance in terms of sales and profit growth.

This achievement in the Midlands and East of England Regional Finals means  progression through to the national finals in London later in the year.  Hilary commented that she was ‘delighted’ with the two triumphs from the ceremony. One judge commented that Hilary was ‘exceptional’ and that the business was such an exemplary success for these accolades.
