Law Firm Of The Year Opens New Postal Facility In Edinburgh PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 19 June 2007

DX, the UK's largest next day mail provider after Royal Mail, today officially opened its new postal facility at Rutland Square in Edinburgh. Mr Wilson Hunter, partner at Edinburgh-based Gillespie Macandrew - the winner of the Scottish Legal Awards 2007 Law Firm of the Year - formally cut the ribbon to open the centre.

The opening follows a £0.25 million refurbishment of the postal facility, reinforcing DX's commitment to continually improve services for its Scottish customer base.

Last year saw full deregulation of the postal market and, along with it, several new entrants into the arena. DX however is unique. With its own nationwide network, DX is the only major mail operator not to rely on Royal Mail for the delivery - which, with a potential postal strike looming, gives it a distinct advantage.

In addition to providing reliable and highly cost-effective mail services, DX ensures that it maintains its competitive edge by responding to its customers' ever-changing needs.

Hence, as well as investment in its postal facility, DX has introduced a number of service initiatives which, it believes, provide unparalleled cost and service benefits to the Scottish business community. These include:

- a same day post delivery service between Edinburgh and Glasgow
- guaranteed next-day delivery service nationwide (to business and residential addresses) costing just £3.50
- UK-wide pre 9am delivery of mail to other DX customers for less than the cost of a 1st class stamp

"We've been delivering mail on behalf of our Scottish and UK-wide customers for over 30 years". says James Greenbury, CEO of DX. "In an increasingly competitive market place, we believe we can offer a unique combination of experience and service excellence. That all adds up to giving our customers a real, cost-effective alternative to Royal Mail for their business mail and parcels."
