PalletFORCE has underlined its status as one of the country’s fastest growing palletised distribution networks by handling its five millionth pallet.  The landmark was reached only a few months after the Network’s fifth anniversary.

Katem Transport and Warehousing, Shareholder Member Depot for the parts of the DL postcode, delivered the milestone pallet to PalletFORCE’s Lichfield hub from its customer Dupont Powder Coatings UK Ltd.

Both Katem and Dupont were presented with awards for sharing in the historic occasion.

“Katem has been a reliable and efficient logistics provider for us over several years, and that level of service and quality has been replicated by the many other PalletFORCE Depots who have moved our goods,” comments Ian Burn, Managing Director of Dupont Powder Coatings UK Ltd.  “We are delighted to be able to share in this significant success.”

“PalletFORCE would like to congratulate all of our Shareholder Depots and the hub staff for a fantastic result,” comments Chief Executive Mick Scarlett.  “Achieving this target within such a short space of time demonstrates the strength of the Network.”

The rate of increase is particularly impressive.  It took PalletFORCE until 23rd October 2003, twenty six months from launch, to record its first million pallets, but the most recent million was reached in only eight and a half months since 13th June 2006.
