Pink Link is Regional SME of the Year PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 05 December 2006

ImageThe Pink Link is celebrating this week after being named SME of the Year at a glittering regional awards ceremony.

The company, which employs 45 staff and has a fleet of 20 vehicles, competed against the 21 other companies that entered the award and were eventually short-listed to the final three before being named as the winner.

The judging was based on a number of criteria including The Pink Links commitment to community involvement, which includes signing a five-year contract to sponsor the local football stadium and raising over 30,000 for local and national charities over the past five years.

Vicki Davenport, sales director at The Pink Link, said, “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this award. Being the inaugural awards, we knew the competition was going to be tough, so we feel very proud that our hard work building up the business has paid off.

“The SME category was open to businesses with under 250 staff, so with under a fifth of that at The Pink Link we feel delighted that our team has been recognised.”

This latest award follows a long line of previous honours, including being named the Palletways Member of the Year for Marketing 2005 and Kirklees Business of the Year 2004.

The Pink Link is the Palletways member for Huddersfield, Bradford and Halifax, offering customers in the area next day and economy distribution services for one to six pallet consignments across the UK, and is planning to launch two to three day services to mainland Europe, which will include the Benelux countries, Denmark, Germany, France, and Switzerland.
