CitySprint has had its contract with RS Components UK Ltd, the leading distributor of Electronic, Electrical, Electromechanical and Industrial products, extended for a further two years making the contract five years in total.

CitySprint was awarded the initial two-year contract with RS Components in 2006, with the option for an additional year, following an extensive six-month tender process as part of RS’ drive to ensure that it offers the best possible service to its customers.

Prior to its contract with CitySprint RS had used a range of local courier companies to service its 16 Trade Counters based nationwide. RS recognised that CitySprint’s unique infrastructure which comprises over 31 wholly owned ServiceCentres, its high level of expertise and professionalism made it an ideal partner to support this level of activity.

After a successful two-year period, the contract was extended for an additional year and now it has been confirmed that the contract has been extended for a further two years until November 2011 making CitySprint the preferred supplier of SameDay Courier services to RS Components for 5 years in total.
