Safe loading of vans and light goods vehicles DVD from FTA PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 13 July 2008

ImageThe safe loading of vans and light goods vehicles is fundamental in ensuring compliance with operator licensing regulations, transport legislation and importantly the safety of drivers and other road users. To assist with driver education and training in this area, the Freight Transport Association has produced a new DVD 'Safe loading of vans and light goods vehicles'. The short film covers best practice procedures in relation to loading within weight limits, even distribution of load and securing the load properly. A second disc contains printable manager's notes, test and answer papers.

The DVD is the second in a series for vans and light goods vehicles, following on from ‘Routine checks for vans and light goods vehicles', which demonstrates the reasons why efficient daily checks are so important before a vehicle leaves base. The DVD also details the areas of the vehicle to be inspected, and includes manager's notes, test papers and answer papers.

Both DVDs are £15 each for FTA members and £20 each for non-members, with discounts for multiple orders, and are available from Shopfta on 08717 11 11 11, email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or online at www.shop.fta.co.uk
